To create a baseline understanding of the branding challenges and opportunities in front of UGURUS, principals Brent Weaver and Steve Thiel engaged our agency to conduct a 7-POINT BRAND AUDIT. Together, we decided it made sense for them to go through our signature BRANDING INTENSIVE process to help define and streamline their brand.
We crystallized the UGURUS brand into a cohesive Brand Platform, which identified a clear purpose and vision, as well as a brand idea that reflected their key ethos: “Better Together.” In addition, we organized and simplified their Brand Architecture, with the result being 3 discrete sub-brands that leverage equity from the Masterbrand.
We then created a Visual Identity that expressed the idea of “Better Together” in a clean, conceptual, and sophisticated manner. The new symbol leverages the ‘U’ in the brand name, but also integrates a second ‘U’ to imply better business results after buying the company’s programs and services. Upward-facing arrows on the ends of the U suggest a growth chart, hinting that their clients’ days of suffering through “the valley of despair” are over.
